Independence Day!!

the ground lit up, originally uploaded by briemarie.

I hope everyone had an awesome Independence Day weekend. Although I had to work on the 4th, we got some amazing shots of the fireworks at the Wilderness! This shot is my favourite, well Rob's too since he did take the shot. I love how the ground is lit up and you can see the smoke trails along with the exploding fireworks.
My favourite fireworks are the ones that look like weeping willows and seem to glow the longest as they trail down the sky. Anybody else? Which kind do you like best?

Berry time and the 4th of July!!

strawberry pie, originally uploaded by briemarie.

Every summer, my mom would bundle us up, drive to the Berry Farmer and we'd pick strawberries. They always taste best right after they are picked, so we'd always end up eating berries, instead of putting them in the carton! Rob and I went up to the Berry Farmer this past Sunday to pick strawberries with his mom and our niece, who ended up eating most of the berries that she picked. We joked that she should have weighed her before we started picking and then again afterwards to see how much she ate!

Picking strawberries and going to parades with my mom always reminds me of the summer. We would always hit the Witwen parade on the fourth and wait for the giant planes to fly by, I'm missing it this year, but I hope that everyone is enjoying their fourth of July celebrations!!

Sawyer's Four Year Old Pictures

You may remember this little guy from last year! On Sunday we went out to Ochsner's Park and took Sawyer's four year old pictures. We got a couple shots of him and his cousins! We got a bunch of great shots, and this year was much warmer than last year!

Sawyer loved the tire swing and we got some great shots of him on that, along with some of the rest of the toys down at the park. He hated his bare feet touching the sand, and I don't blame him, that sand is rough! I didn't even like walking around on it. The girls were such fun, too. They had Sawyer show me his "funny face" which only he and his aunt Missy can do, it was such a riot taking his photos this year. I even got a couple of him and his mommy.

Sawyer and the girls.
Here's his cute funny face.
He was telling me that Michael is his friend.
Sawyer and mommy, I love this one!

Happy Halloween! (in May)

the little fairy, originally uploaded by briemarie.

Haha. I know, we're a couple of months early. I bought these great wings after Halloween last year for portraits during the summer, I'm thinking cute little fairy children running around in the grass. I have so many ideas in my head, now bring on the little fairies!

Cheyanne was a great little model, she loved the wings and wore a super sized tutu, at least on her it was huge! She'd give me a funny face all the time, apparently it's the face that Tinkerbell makes, although I'm not willing to believe her on that.

From Universal ~ Orlando

in color, originally uploaded by briemarie.

We are home from our vacation in Florida! I can't believe how cold it is up here! I got so used to the beautiful 80 degree weather down there that the 60's here in Wisconsin are just so cold.

Anyways, we had a blast. Rob's parents took Cheyanne and we just invited ourselves along, plus I had my little sis, Becky, come with us. It was my first time at Disneyworld, where I took a ton of shots, we hit Coco beach, it was gorgeous (can you believe that I didn't even tan at all?!), and then we hit Universal Studios. Cheyanne loved it all, her favourite ride was Splash Mountain at Disneyworld, Becky and I loved the Peter Pan ride.

The shot I've got here is from Universal's Islands of Adventure. Seriously, I can't remember the last time I had so much fun! Plus, take a look at Cheyanne, she's got her tongue sticking out! She wouldn't smile, so I was trying to get her to smile by making a funny face (with my tongue sticking out of my mouth!) so she copied me as kids are wont and I have this awesome shot of her and papa.

We had a great time, although I'm not sure that I want to fly again, I get so nervous, but I sat next to Cheyanne on the way home, and she was just so excited that the flight home was much easier than the flight there.

Gorgeous Weather

I went over to Jess's house today and took some shots of the girls. They were both in such a fun mood! The weather was just gorgeous, the sun was out and it was so nice and warm. Jem was riding her bike up and down the sidewalk, trying to race the wind it seemed, while Lana watched. Jess worked on gardening while I took some photos of the girls. What a fun day~spending a beautiful day out of doors in the perfect weather with two charming little girls!

Dancing Star

elle, originally uploaded by briemarie.

For Elle's fourth birthday, we attended her dance recital. It was so much fun, watching all those little tiny dancers up on the stage. At the end of the dance recital, all the kids got red roses, although Elle broke the head off of hers! She still wanted to keep holding it.
