{in love} heidi + nathan, baraboo, wis

As promised, here is Heidi and Nathan's full post from their engagement shoot!

What a day! Obviously the weather gods had it in for us, it rained almost all day. We met Heidi and Nathan at our house, since it looked like the rain was not going to let up for us. We started out in the studio, but traveled outside once we saw that the rain had stopped. We went down to Circus World and realized that Heidi and I are totally into those buildings! We rocked the circus, then headed over to Ochsner's Park for another setting. We had just gotten down to the river, when the blue sky once again turned grey and rain poured down. Of course, as the weather gods are wont to do, as soon as we hit the house, the sun came out behind the clouds and, I don't believe, it rained any more that night. Whoever was doing the rain dance, seriously had to stop.

Although we didn't have a very long dry window, we got some awesome shots of Heidi and Nathan, those two are up for anything, I love it! I can't wait for their wedding this fall, we are going to have a blast then, too!

Enjoy! And feel free to leave us some comments, we love to hear what you think!

{sneak peek} heidi + nathan's e-shoot, baraboo, wi

As I was going through the shots from the day, I came across this little gem. I love it! So, of course, had to put up a little sneak peek from the shoot, you can expect a full post this weekend! This shot totally reminds me of the song that had been playing in my head all day "Come a little bit closer" by Jay & the Americans, a big hit in 1964! We had such a blast with Heidi and Nathan, but for now, you'll have to wait for the weekend!

I know, such a tease.

a couple more shots from mollie + scott's big day!!

We each got our very own cupcake!
I love the buildings down on Water Street, they have so much history in them, belonging to the Circus, and they are so colorful! Now, I need to go work on the rest of the images.

Circus Appreciation Days!!

With everything else that went on last week, I completely forgot to mention that we went to the circus!! It's been years since I last went, and there's things that they no longer have, like the Big Top, but we did have a blast. It was the Baraboo National Bank's Circus Appreciation Days, at least I think that's what it was! We met up with Rob's paren'ts, Matt and Cheyanne, Grandma Jenny and Rob's aunt Sharon and uncle Gary at the circus and had a baggie lunch which included a hot dog, chips and my favourite: ice cream.

Cheyanne got a new camera, it's kid proof and although it doesn't show the pics after you take them, it apparently does take pictures. Unfortunately, I don't think she quite realizes how to use it yet, since it stayed at five pictures all day.

After our lunch, Cheyanne had to ride the carousel. Once for Matt was enough, apparently going in circles makes him sick! So he sat and watched Cheyanne and Rob for her second time 'round. I shot this right after he finished sticking out his tongue at Cheyanne and Rob on the carousel.

What a little goose! Look at that smile. I think I take too many pictures of her, since she's such a cute little model, she loves seeing the screen after I take a shot of her.
